Kaleiçi Guide: Antalya's Historic Old Town
Kaleiçi is Antalya's walled old town — layers from Rome to the Ottomans, boutique hotels and a yacht harbor make it the city's most photogenic quarter. The perfect starting point for first-timers.
Start at Hadrian's Gate
This three-arched marble gate, built in 130 AD for emperor Hadrian, is a grand entrance to the old town. From here, walk downhill toward the marina.
Get lost in the lanes
Wander without a plan among the Fluted Minaret, old mansions and courtyard cafés. Many boutique hotels and restaurants occupy restored historic houses.
Sunset at the marina
The old harbor is ideal for early-evening seafood and browsing boat tours. From the clifftop terraces, watch the sun set over the Taurus Mountains.
