Since Antalya Airport sits close to the Lara and Kundu hotel zone, most visitors book a transfer first, but a rental car is the real key to exploring nearby coves, ancient sites and mountain roads on your own schedule.
Where you stay guides what you need. Lara, the eastern beach strip with the big resorts, is closest to the airport, so transfers are short. Muratpaşa, the central district, has the densest cluster of rental offices and pickup points. Konyaaltı, along the western shoreline, rewards having a car for coastal drives. Kaleiçi, the old town, has narrow lanes and limited parking, so walking or a short transfer usually makes more sense. Kepez, to the north, is more local and can offer budget-friendly offices.
